Puff Pastry
Don’t be afraid of it! Just go to your nearest LIDL store and grab that puff pastry. Let it cool outside in a room temperature and scroll down quickly for the recipe.
Imagination
Use your imagination. You can, of course, go with the recipe but you can also adjust it to your preference. Afterall, its Friday evening time with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1x pack of Καρδίς Puff Pastry
- 200g of mushrooms (sliced)
- 100g bell peppers (sliced)
- 200g smoked turkey (sliced)
- 3-4 tomatoes (sliced)
- 2 courgettes (sliced)
- 10 olives (pitted)
- 1 halloumi (grated)
- 150g mozzarella
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Oregano, Pepper, Salt
- Mint leaves
Recipe preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200C
- Open up the puff pastry and lay it flat on a tray
- With a fork, make holes to the puff pastry so it doesn’t puff up when it bakes
- Place the puff pastry 5 minutes in the oven just to get it a bit crispy
- Remove from the oven and start to assemble
- First you spread the halloumi to cover the bottom
- Then you add the rest of the ingredients in your desired order, making sure you finish with mozzarella on top followed by oregano, pepper and salt
- Drizzle some olive oil
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is ready and the cheese has melted
- Serve with salad on the side
- Enjoy.
